I can''t believe no one has written a review here about this plane! I have had my CR260 for almost two years now, and I have to say, it is the ultimate 3d flat foamie, no contest. My flying bud has gone thru several "flat-outs", "funtanas" etc and watches this plane fly quite enviously. It will perform any manuever you can think of, and some you can''t. Knife edge, inverted/upright flat spins, inverted/upright harriers, torque roll hovers, rolling circles, real wing-length hammerheads, whatever! Takeoffs can be nicely scale (w/ gear), or straight up with a two foot roll out, whatever your mood. Landings are smooth and predictable with no tip stalling at all. Last year I bought a replacement airframe and well...I haven''t needed it yet...the foam has outlasted both aileron servos lol! I *have* had to CA numerous fatigue cracks, but hey, to be expected when you witness the repeated g''s this plane cranks out flight after flight, day after day, month after month! I only did two mods- a steerable tailwheel, and full length carbon strips along both sides of and underneath the fuselage edges, to stop tail twisting. Also, the landing gear design is simple and brilliant engineering- absorbs shock from not so good landings easily and makes good landings look silky smooth. Nicely thought out motor mount also- keeps the motor protected, not hanging out in front "first at the scene of the crash" lol!
I fly this plane *A LOT*, it''s my main machine, and I wanted to let everyone know how much a performer it is. If you''re looking at flat foamies, don''t bother with any other brand, honestly...I''ve seen em get built, then I see them get thrown away. ****FLY CHARGER!!**** |
